Global Tourism Economy Forum 2023

The 10th Global Tourism Economy Forum • Macau 2023, with the theme of "Destination 2030: Unlocking the Power of Tourism for Business and Development," was held in Macao from 20-23 Sep 2023. The forum brought together government officials, ministers of culture and tourism, industry leaders, decision-makers, and scholars to encourage "thoughts beyond tourism" and explored opportunities for global tourism economic recovery. Discussions focused on how to fostered a resilient, high-quality, and human-centered tourism industry ecosystem through innovation and sustainable international cooperation in the new normal.

This edition of the forum was held in a hybrid format, combining online and offline elements. The event was live-streamed on 21-22 Sep, with additional replays during the European and American time zones.

Participants had the opportunity to listen to over 80 speakers, including ministerial-level leaders, business and cultural tourism executives, and expert scholars, transcending geographical and time zone boundaries to collectively pursue high-quality development.
