Delegation of China Business Leaders Thailand Visit

On the auspicious occasion of 1 July 2024, marking 49 years of the Sino-Thai diplomatic relations, Ms Pansy Ho, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce, led a prominent delegation of over 200 high-level Chinese business leaders from 23 provinces and cities of Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau on a visit to Bangkok, Thailand. They consisted of executives from prestigious corporations like Trip.com Group, Bravolinks, Ant International, PuyDuFou Asia, Fosun International, MGM China, Daycash Tourism Development Group, Ronghua Holdings Group and Suning Global Group.

Thai government officials also attended, including Vice Minister for Tourism and Sports Mr Jakkaphon Tangsutthitham; Vice Minister for Culture Ms Ploy Tanikul; Deputy Governor for International Marketing (Asia and South Pacific) of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Mr Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya; along with business leaders such as Founder & Chairman of BTS Group Holdings Mr Keeree Kanjanapas; Founder & Chairman of Minor International Mr William Heinecke, and Founder & Group CEO of Index Creative Village Public Company Limited Mr Kriengkrai Kanjanapokin.

The program included a high-level “China-Thailand Cultural Tourism Industry Summit”, a welcome dinner and site visits to ICONSIAM, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) headquarters and the Amata Industrial Park. This momentous exchange, part of “Nihao! China” overseas tourism promotional campaign by China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has laid the groundwork to expand the scope of Sino-Thai cultural and commercial cooperation.
